If you read my www.4Cattlemen.com story about The Academy of Veterinary Consultants meeting in Phoenix, you heard about Troy and Stacy Hadrick.

In 2002, The New York Times published “Power Steer,” a Michael Pollan article attacking modern animal agriculture while relating his experience following a single steer through its life. The steer happened to have been raised on the Hadricks ranch.

That experience motivated the Hadricks, fifth-generation ranchers from western South Dakota, to create Advocates for Agriculture to promote agriculture one story at a time. Now, they travel the country speaking to both urban and agriculture groups.

For more info about the Hadricks and Advocates for Ag visit www.advocatesforag.com or check out Troy’s blog at www.advocatesforag.blogspot.com. Also, to avoid confusion between this blog and the Hadricks Advocates for Ag project, I’m going to be changing blog names. Stay tuned for details.
